Fall 2007, 2008 and Now into 2010... Where Has Life Gone? Good Thing We Have Proof of Life.
We enjoy seeing all of your families on a regular bases, so let us know what your blogspots addresses are, either in an email or in our comment field.
Thought we would share what we have all been up to in the last few years.
2010
A NEW YEAR...
The year started off a little faster than we had planned. By December 31st, we had a slight idea that this year would be an intersting one. We are only 29 days in so far and i am feeling like it is going to be a long, slow journey.
I knew this about my own goals, however; i did not know this about everyone elses. We had MRI/Dr. Appts. scheduled before the New Year was really underway.
On day 27th we had the surgery performed by a wonderful surgeon and staff at Children's Hospital in Seattle.
Our baby(i know if he only heard me say that) is resting as i write this. I can see the wonder and the slight frustration in his eyes. What just happened?
Well we will try to keep you posted. Next Month should be better, and the one after that even more so. :)
2009
March 28th - April 5th 2009 ~ Gave us our Spring Break. We chose to head to Bend again. So one day in Bend and then off to Kah-nee-ta. The hot pools were good, but a little cooler than in May. We golfed a few days so that was perfect. Everyone did great. The kids liked the option to DRIVE the golf carts. All ended well for everyone. Hearts, Heads and All other body parts returned home Unharmed, or at least Unchanged.
July 25- August 2nd ~ We threw a dart at the map! And this is what we got for vacation. Well, not really; but pretty close. Steamboat Springs is one place I had not been so guess what? Yep, had to see it. Loved it! Wanna go back!
We took my parents with us, it was great to have them along. Thanks to mom's thinking we had lunch along side the road. Frozen lunch meat never stopped her... Yep, it defrosts just great on the engine block of a perfectly good truck. Thanks 4 lunch mom! Hope you had fun too.
We rafted down the Colorado River, and spent sometime in the local hot pools and shopped in town. What a great week.
I loved celebrating my birthday with my family and out of town. Missed my Sister's by Choice, but Thanks Again for all the Wonderful Birthday Messages. I Love You All.
Anniversary #26... Wow, where has time gone? All the things you wish you would of tried, all the things you wish you could do over. All the good memories you hope you can freeze forever, and the bad one's remove with just the thought. Oh, to have the ability to know it all ahead of time. Just imagine the amazing things we could do.
October...Our oldest and his wife came to visit a spent the week hanging out with us. Had Family pictures taken, enjoyed a movie or two, a golf game, a short trip around spokane doing a little light shopping and more photos.
2008
In February, we took our first cruise to the Mexican Riviera. Our stops included Cabo San Lucas, Mazatalan and Puerto Vallarta. I would definitely take a week cruise and absolutely take friends along. Life is much better when traveled with Friends. (Hello to all of you!)
In March, we headed up to the lake to spend some time at the church camp (Zarahemla). We did some skiing, boarding, and a game or two of scrabble.
April was Spring Break so we booked a week in Redmond Oregon at the Eagle Crest Resort. The guys had a great time playing raquetball, swimming, and even a trip up the mountain to ski for the day. What a wonderful option, snow one day and sunny skies the next.
May 2-3rd we took the trailer and headed up to Rockrim Lake for the weekend to see the last of the snow on the mountains and enjoy the crisp clean air, before the summer vacationers found the lake.
June, I headed up to Lake Chelan with a good friend and her wonderful sister for a couple of days. What fun; we shopped, hiked, listened to a great music group, watched a movie and laughed a lot.
The boys had the traditional good reading coupon for Silverwood Theme Park, so off we went. I think you spend more than you really save...who are they kidding.
In July we had the chance to visit family in Utah for a couple of days. We had some great times, good laughs, grand memories. We Love You!
In August the boys and I had the opportunity to drive back to Utah and spend the week with family and friends. Grandpa and Grandma traveled down to Moab with us, to spend some time with Joshua, who drove up from Albuquerque. (Thanks Josh!) The end of the week we attended the wedding of the sweet daughter of our friends from Alaska in the Salt Lake City Temple. We headed out to the county fair to see the local events and watch Emerson Drive Concert. This was great!! Way to Fiddle!
Labor Day Weekend we played around the Coure D'Alene area. Riding the Tram up Silver Mountain, Playing in the Lake, Romantic Walks along the Dock, Fresh bread and Beautiful artwork at the Farmer's Market, a Symphony in Central Park, a Couple of hands of Rummy, a Good Friend and Great Memories make for a Perfect Weekend.
September this year hosted our Scrapbook weekend with the girls in Mecham, Oregon. What a great thing to do for so many reasons.... I finished 43 pages this year. That is really rocking for me. I finished almost Two Years! I have one year of our life together as a family left. There are a few tender moments I still need to take a special moment and create some wonderful pages in memory of some wonderful people. But that will happen soon, I believe. Another reason I Love this Moment is to get to know some Amazing Women! They have such great personalities, talents and abilties that bring this world Joy beyond words.
October is made for fall or fall was made for October.
Either way, I love going out to see the colors change; breathe the crisp air of the coming winter days.
This October we visited a little RV Resort in Cheney, Washington. We took along the DOG....What were we thinking? It was not that bad, i guess. He just needed to settle in, ok maybe he prefers to be home. Don't we all...
November we headed to Portland for D to see Dave (yep, Dave R.) Then we wanted a night stay in Long Beach due to the time of night. Yes, this is a ways out of Portland but we were using our resort options. But they booked us in Ocean Shores not Long Beach and in the dark anything good and the voice on the phone said it is not to far away from the other, and as long as there is a bed at the end. Well, the next morning we took a family photos and started up the truck and it started and then died right there in the parking lot. So we towed it to Long Beach. Yep, Long Beach our original goal. We walked the town and waited for verdict on the truck. No one knows why it died and would not start for us. But it starts up just fine in the garage in Long Beach. So now we are tired and out of place and never did make it out to the ocean. But we did make it home in one piece. Thank heaven for that. Yes, we did.
December we have waited for, with great anticipation. We booked a week in McCall ID. for Christmas Break. So the tree was bought along side the road on the way into town, the lights went up and the fresh scent of pine filled the house. We played in the snow (ski/sleds/snowmobiles), ice skated, played in the pool, watched movies, read a few novels, played the wii and even spent a day working on pottery. Visited with a cousin in the area. Loved the time in the mountains in the snow with the crisp air and the three feet of snow that arrived while we were there. Yes, we would do it again.
2007
We headed off for Banff, Canada over Labor Day 2007 for 10 days. Spent some great times together, did some amazing things. Jordan scored a hole in one on a par three, we hiked around Lake Louise, Rode the tram to the top of the mountain in Banff and played in the mineral waters in Fairmount. What a refreshing time. Need one of these more often.
So, I think we have seen enough, learned a few things, I hope. Made some Memories to help consider Living Life Accomplished. We will be home for awhile, So if you find yourselves in the neighborhood, Stop by...Say Hello...Because
We always look forward to spending time with those we love the most... You!Hope you all have a wonderful year.
Lots of Love coming your way! xoxox :)
Just Let Go
This interesting game taught me alot. 1st; Just letting go and seeing what you get, is not always easy. 2nd; That these young men will not be young for long.
Talent in Action
Keeping the game going and keeping the dog in check has talent written all over it. Way to Go!
Fall into Me
The area was beautiful, the weather was just cool enough to be crisp, the putt putt game was fun, and the guys as always made the day perfect.
On Top of the World!
We rode the tram to the top of the mountain and wow, what an amazing view of the valley floor below. Banff Hotel is in the bottom left of the picture near the rail.
Cold but totally Cool!
The City of Coure D'Alene ID, has a lake worth checking out even if it is slightly cool.
Silver Mountain
We spent the day riding the tram and playing tetherball on top of the mountain, enjoying hot chocolate and then looking in all the wonderful shops at the base of the mountain.
Arrow Point Resort
We loved our condo on the far side of the Lake Coure D' Alene. Beautiful water, amazing boats and a quiet weekend.
The End to a Perfect Day!
The sunset was amazing and the walk on the docks was not bad either. :) Thanks Love!
